What's in a shoe? (Besides a foot)

Remember when sneakers were for actually playing sports? For getting muddy and sweaty?

Today’s kicks are pieces of art and objects of culture, status symbols, appropriate for work or formal events.

New Yorkers know their shoes and the SoHo sneaker game is strong so we went undercover and hit the pavement to search for the freshest sneakers and ask their owners, “what do your shoes mean to you?”.
