In just two short years, we’ve grown from strength to strength, largely in part to two simple yet essential principals — To Honor and To Inspire. Whether the projects are lifestyle and food, or fashion and finance, the same key principals apply. We strive to honor the visions and goals of our clients, while creating work and campaigns that inspire. The Charles Annual Report 2013 aims to show you just how far we’ve come.

In Kanye’s now infamous Zane Lowe interview, he expressed his disdain for the fashion industry's glass ceiling - and the fact that many aspiring designers (including himself) could only get as far as t-shirts. Kanye rants aside, the T-Shirt business is rumored to be running in the billions. With low cost manufacturing, a blank canvas for creativity and a style that fits pretty much everyone, it’s easy to see how the humble t-shirt is impervious to economic circumstances and fluctuations in consumer taste.

Never ones to “stay in our lane”, The Charles showcased our love for Kate Moss and the Notorious B.I.G with #10KATE...the t-shirt project.

Inspiration - Sealay

WHO IS CHARLES?

Born in St Kitts in the late 1800s, Alfred Charles Sealay was a shipwright by trade, a beloved father and a friend to many. His career enabled him to travel and experience life beyond the island. Throughout his life he wrote, he invented, he innovated and most importantly, he broke through societal barriers, during a time when many could not. Charles is a source of constant inspiration and a reminder that no dream is too big, no idea too small.

Restaurant Marianne

Chef Marianne Lumb opened her first restaurant in Fall 2013 - billed as London’s smallest fine dining restaurant - we’re proud to have worked on the project from ‘soup to nuts’.

  1. The Marianne website has been featured on 8 web design galleries, resulting in over 12k visits to the site in the month of November alone.
  2. Most Popular Dish: Agen Prune Soufflé with Armagnac Ice-Cream.

  4. Marianne is hands on with her Instagram - posting every image live from the kitchen herself.
